Living Water 3
Living Water
Acrylic on cardboard
20-21st May 2017
I used cardboard as my canvas because I bought a table from Ikea and decided to use the cardboard which came with it. (And I'm too cheap to spend a large amount of money on an actual canvas.)
I've been wanting to paint another big piece so that's when Living Water was born. Polytechnic (school) had jut started and I wanted to relieve some of my anxiety and stress by painting.
I feel like the cardboard posed as a problem at first. The grooves annoyed me as I couldn't get a smooth curve. But I just persevered and kept going. The roughness in my strokes began to compliment the choppiness of the waters.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with this piece.
